Locums – Johnstown, Pennsylvania, Psychiatry Opening Clinical Role:

    • July 22-26
    • July 29 - August 9
    • Ongoing Need
    • Monday – Friday 8a – 5p
    • Scheduled Clinic Hours + Call
    • EMR: Epic
    • Assigned/Unassigned Patients
    • Support Staff - OR Staff
    • Call Night /Weekend for emergent surgeries
    • 1 call day per week
    • Call: 7p – 7a
    • Hospital:
    • Inpatient unit - 29 beds, census currently capped at 21.
    • Call schedule: 1-2 days per week. 3 days on occasion
    • Possible weekend call needed
    • On call weekdays by phone from 5 pm until 8 am the following morning. On call weekends round on psychiatric units and see new consultations in the ED and med/surg on Saturday and Sunday
    • Avg Called in while on call: Varies, about 2-4 admissions, plus calls for behavioral issues, PRN medications, non-routine incidents on the unit
    • There are an average of 3-5 consults and 5-6 follow-ups daily. We have 2 CRNPs who provide assistance to the psychiatrist
    • Mid levels assist with new evals and summaries
    • Daily average of 3-5 consults, and 5-6 follow-ups
    • Department/Units Rounding: Adult, DEM, Consults
    • Board Certified/Board Eligible
    • Active PA License Required
    • Fellowship Preferred
    • Trauma Level I
    • Call Type: Beeper
    • Call Response Time Required: 25 minutes
