JOB DESCRIPTION: Children’s hospital in eastern North Carolina is seeking a BE/BC Psychiatrist to serve as the Medical Director for the Center for Telepsychiatry and E-Behavioral Health (CTeBH). The successful candidate will serve as the Chief Clinical Officer for the CTeBH Center and the NC-STeP program. Applicants should have a demonstrated track record in telepsychiatry and psychiatric administration. The center currently serves 29 hospitals and 22 community-based clinics across the state of North Carolina. Members are made up of a combination of professional personnel, faculty, and contracted external providers. About: The position emphasizes a leadership role and an active engagement in clinical, educational, and scholarly activities Administrative responsibilities (40%) include developing initiatives, oversight of an outcomes monitoring system, improvement in patient outcomes, oversight of a peer-review program, supervision of APPs The Medical Director will also spend about 60% of their time providing clinical service Requirement to live in or near hospital Fixed Term clinic faculty appointment available at the title/rank of Assistant, Associate, or Professor rank depending on qualifications HOSPITAL: This innovative structure creates opportunities within the system is ranging from acute to ambulatory, academic practice to community practice, regional to rural, and everything in between.
