Psychiatric Medical Director Opportunity in Metro Charlotte, North Carolina!!
Job Description:
As a Psychiatric Medical Director here, you will play a pivotal role in leading our psychiatric services and ensuring the highest standards of patient care. This full-time position requires a dynamic and experienced psychiatrist who will spend three days a week providing clinical care and two days overseeing administrative functions. The ideal candidate will be a licensed psychiatrist in the state of North Carolina and possess board certification.
Responsibilities:
Clinical Care (24 hours per Week):
Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
Provide medication management and therapeutic interventions.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals to ensure
comprehensive patient care.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
Administrative Duties (16 hour per Week):
Provide leadership and guidance to psychiatric mental health nurse practitioners and licensed clinical social workers.
Oversee the quality and efficiency of psychiatric services.
Participate in program development and improvement initiatives.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
Manage budgets, resources, and staffing within the psychiatric department.
Collaborate with other department heads and executives to align psychiatric services with
the organization's goals.
Requirements:
A valid North Carolina medical license.
Board certification in psychiatry.
Clinical experience in psychiatry.
Proven leadership and administrative skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong commitment to patient care and safety.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic healthcare environment.
Willingness to facilitate a medication-assisted treatment program (MAT)
