Psychiatry (Medical Director) Opportunity near Orlando, FL!!
We are currently seeking a Psychiatrist to serve as a Medical Director for our Inpatient Behavioral Health Services. This position is an integral part of the Orlando General Psychiatry residency program with the psychiatrist getting an academic appointment with the University. In addition to providing clinical care, the responsibilities of this position will include clinical teaching, and supervision of medical students and psychiatry residents as well as conducting scholarly work in collaboration with other faculty. The residency program has 6 residents per year and Hospital behavioral health unit is a primary rotation site for the first year residents. Medical Center offers a 25-bed unit for acute, short-term behavioral healthcare for the adult and geriatric population. The emphasis is on evaluation, stabilization and education of patients. This state of the art in patient 25 bed facility opened in Dec. 2014. Preference on those who are ECT trained, but not required. If you’re a dynamic leader and team player, apply today. The call is 1:3+ (mid-level support and some support with residency program). There will be teaching responsibility as well with the residents.
