Annashae Healthcare Staffing and Consulting is a premier Physician Staffing (Locums) Agency specialized in Mental Health. Our client has an immediate need for a Psychiatrist to serve as Medical Director an Inpatient Mental Health Center. This position has long term potential with locum rewards.


Job Responsibilities

• 30% of administrative time - Serves as Medical Director for an Inpatient Mental Health Center directing the implementation of services.
• 20% - Serves as foil-line supervisor which includes union, non-union, and contractual staff.
• 15% - Serves as manager of medical program operations by serving as a member of the hospital clinical and management team and governing body.
• 10% - Serves as facility expert on mental health laws, regulations, and trends.
• 10% - Performs incident Investigation and reporting.
• 5% - Performs other duties as required or assigned that are reasonably within the scope of duties.

Qualifications

• BC/BE American Board of Medical Specialties certification in Psychiatry.
• Illinois license to practice medicine or the ability to obtain an Illinois license.
• Unrestricted DEA
• Experience supervising medical professionals.

Working Hours

Hours:
• Weekdays (Monday – Friday)
• 40 Hours Per Week, Start Time – Earliest 7a and End Time – Latest 6p
• NO HOLIDAYS or WEEKENDS

Skills

• Experience working as a member of a diverse team including psychologists, medical physicians, nursing, and social services post residency.
• Administrative experience in a medical/clinical program beyond (3 years) the minimum requirement.
• Experience supervising medical professionals.
• Experience managing and developing budgets.
• Experience working on program development including drafting of policy and procedure.
• Skilled at ensuring patient focused outcomes & a compassionate approach to patient care.
• The ability to effectively communicate to a broad audience.
