Job Description

A client in West Palm Beach Florida is seeking a Board Certified Psychiatrist with expertise in both child and adult psychiatry to join a dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diagnosing and treating a wide range of mental health disorders, providing personalized care, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to enhance the overall well-being of our patients.

Required Qualifications

  • FL medical license as an MD or DO
  • Completion of an approved residency program
  • FL DEA certificate before start date
  • CPR certification
  • Medical degree from an accredited school of medicine.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience **Preferred
  • Board Certification in Psychiatry with a focus on both child and adult psychiatry.
  • Proven experience in diagnosing and treating a diverse range of mental health disorders in children and adults.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care.
  • Compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards

Responsibilities

  • Conduct psychiatric evaluations for children and adults to diagnose mental health disorders.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on thorough assessments.
  • Prescribe and manage appropriate medications, monitor their efficacy, and adjust as necessary.
  • Provide psychotherapy and counseling services to patients, as needed.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including psychologists, social workers, and therapists, to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in accordance with regulatory standards.
  • Stay informed about advancements in psychiatry and contribute to the development of best practices within the organization.
  • Participate in case conferences, team meetings, and clinical supervision sessions.
  • Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies.
  • Adhere to ethical and professional standards in all aspects of patient care.
