We are expanding our psychiatric services throughout the state and we are seeking highly qualified Psychiatrists at locations near: Tallahassee, Panama City, Gainesville, Jacksonville, Orlando, Ocala, and Miami, Florida. Positions with Centurion of Florida offer something for everyone including: reception and outpatient services, inpatient services with teaching and mentoring opportunity to train psychiatric residents, as well as, consultation-liaison opportunities within a large correctional hospital treating patients with complex comorbid psychiatric and general medical conditions. Job Responsibilities
Qualifications
Documentation of education as MD or DO and completion of accredited residency program required
Current license to practice medicine in Florida required
Board Certification for certification in Psychiatry
Must have an active Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration certificate
Must maintain current tuberculosis documentation and active CPR certification
Must be able to pass background investigation and obtain agency security clearance where applicable
Minimum of two (2) years of experience practicing as psychiatrist in a clinical setting preferred
Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience in an clinical setting
Experience in correctional mental health care or locked unit preferred
Working Hours
Monday-Friday
Day Shift
All full-time Psychiatrists participate in rotational on-call approximately every 6 to 8 weeks. The on-call lasts for 7 days / 24 hours per day and is compensated above and beyond the guaranteed annual salary.
