Adelphi is seeking a Psychiatrist to provide services at a facility in Loma Linda, California. The ideal candidate will coordinate psychiatric care in the facility, and collaborate with facility leadership, staff and other practitioners to help develop and implement resident care policies that reflect current standards of practice.

Responsibilities:
• Engage in consultations with the facility's designated leads regarding complex situations and ethical/legal matters.
• Deliver direct and indirect services to eligible patients, encompassing clinical assessments, treatment, and prioritization necessitating independent judgment.
• Enhance organizational and communication proficiencies while employing an interdisciplinary approach to service delivery.
• Exercise independent practice, employing professional judgment and expertise in clinical decisions for patients.
• Conduct psychiatric evaluations for a diverse population, including geriatric and post-deployment combat patients with mental illness and psychosocial challenges.
• Administer therapeutic interventions such as diagnostic assessments, medication management, suicide risk assessments, crisis intervention, and holistic care for patients with psychiatric disorders.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory standards and guidelines including The Joint Commission (TJC), CARF, HIPAA, Agency policies, clinical practice guidelines, national statutes, regulations, medical record documentation, and mandatory continuing education.
• Provide psycho-diagnostic services and employ appropriate psychotherapeutic techniques.
• Potentially lead as a mental health team leader, managing consults and specialty clinic referrals.
• Participate in team meetings, treatment planning conferences, and collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Order diagnostic tests and consultations, interpret results, and make suitable treatment decisions.
• Engage in supervision, teaching for the psychiatric residency program, on-call duties, and other assigned responsibilities.
• Addressing depression, anxiety, psychosis, PTSD, substance abuse, and other psychiatric disorders.
• Fulfill any additional duties as assigned.
