Job Description
Seeking Board Certified Psychiatrist to join team as a Division Chair,, ensures that the members of the division perform to the highest standards of medicine and integrated care. The Division Chair is responsible for Division performance on patient quality and safety indicators, patient satisfaction, access, productivity, provider engagement, cost of care, operationalizing standards of care and other key initiatives. The Division Chair inspires others to fulfill the mission, vision and aspirational aims of the group.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and monitor the Division’s performance in meeting clinical quality and safety. standards. Meet or exceed Clinical Quality Dashboard targets.
- Drive service excellence. Participate in the investigation and resolution of patient quality/safety/service reported events.
- Require all Sections and their members to use best efforts to meet or exceed access, productivity, and financial targets. Participate and lead growth and cost efficiency initiatives with administrative dyad. Identify opportunities to decrease overall Cost of Care.
- Initiate continuous practice improvement including documentation and coding.
- Lead development of Physician/Provider long-range recruitment plan in collaboration with dyad partner, and in conjunction with Physician and Professional Staff Services and Integrated Planning office.
- Collaborate with Physician and Professional Services regarding physician performance concerns per policy.
- Develop agenda and chair regularly scheduled Division meetings.
- Actively participate in Market Senior Leadership meetings and committees as assigned or appointed.
- Facilitate Division participation in committees and work groups. Participation in Peer Review activities as needed or as appropriate to Division Chair role.
- Responsible for bi-directional communication.
- Encourage clinical excellence of the Division via educational activity, development of new services, and opportunities for teaching/ research.
- Mentor and support Section Chair(s). Provide annual review and ongoing feedback with individual Section Chairs including identification of career development interests and opportunities.
- Identify and develop emerging Physician/Provider leaders.
- .3FTE as Division Chair, .7FTE as practicing psychiatry physician (practice could be in adult inpatient, outpatient or consult liaison or child & adolescent inpatient or outpatient).
