The Department of Psychiatry, under the new leadership of Dr. John Lauriello, is looking to expand its faculty. The department has openings for faculty of all rank and welcome all letters of interest. Strong senior mentorship and interesting clinical, education and research opportunities are available. Specific positions currently posted include:
Addiction Psychiatry
Full-time position for a Psychiatrist with interest in addictions and academic medicine. This position involves providing psychiatric care to patients with substance use disorders within a sophisticated network of established substance use disorders programs, all with experienced multi-disciplinary staffing.
Board eligibility or board certification by the ABPN or ABPM for addiction psychiatry or addiction medicine is preferred.
Consultation-Liaison (CL): Hospital Psychiatric Services / Outpatient Psychiatry
Full-time position focused on mainly inpatient consultation with some outpatient clinical work dependent on candidate’s interests and expertise. The Department’s Division of Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry has an established tradition of clinical excellence and scholarship.
Neuro-Modulation
Full-time position will be focused mainly on providing Neuro-modulation services to the Jefferson Clinical Population and developing an enterprise-wide Neuro-modulation Program. Services will be provided in the appropriate inpatient and outpatient settings, mainly at the Center City Campus with opportunities at other Jefferson Health Divisions.
Outpatient Psychiatry
Full-time position focused primarily on outpatient medical management with some psychotherapy for a diverse population of patients. Significant opportunities to teach medical students and supervise senior psychiatry residents.
All positions include participation in the faculty weekend call schedule, which involves on-site and telephone coverage about every 10-12 weeks as well as weeknight phone coverage 1-2 nights per month.
