Job Description
As a Psychiatrist, you will help diagnose and treat a range of mental health conditions, ultimately improving patients' well-being and quality of life. Most of the patients have been involved in traumatic accidents and need help healing from the consequences of associated injuries – such as PTSD, traumatic brain injury, and depression.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough psychiatric assessments to diagnose mental health conditions and develop tailored treatment plans
- Provide evidence-based psychotherapeutic interventions and medication management
- Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic patient care, including OT / PT / Speech therapy
- Monitor and adjust treatment plans based on patient progress and evolving needs
- Stay current with advancements in psychiatry to deliver state-of-the-art care
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with regulations
- Uphold ethical standards and provide a safe and empathetic environment for patients
Qualifications:
- Medical degree (MD or DO) with specialization in Psychiatry
- Board certification or eligibility for board certification in Psychiatry
- Valid medical license to practice Psychiatry in Texas
Willingness and ability to travel to remote clinics once a month in South Texas
