Job Description

A Davenport based client is seeking a motivated and compassionate Psychiatrist to join a collaborative, inpatient practice with 28 adult and 8 adolescent beds. An ideal candidate should value practicing evidence-based medicine and should be comfortable treating all ages. This role is a leadership opportunity and involves collaboration with other staff members. Working one weekend per month is required.

Required Qualifications

  • IA medical license as an MD or DO
  • Completion of an approved residency program
  • Board certification or board eligible in psychiatry
  • DEA certificate before start date
  • CPR certification

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct primary care to patients of all ages
  • Participate in the development of clinic protocols and procedures to ensure quality medical care
  • Participate in utilization and peer review programs which evaluates the quality of the medical staff and medical services being performed at the clinics
  • Provide supervision and consultation to physician assistants and nurse practitioners
  • Provide consultation services to practitioners by telephone accessibility as necessary
