Maxim is currently in search of a dedicated FT Psychiatrist to provide clinical care to residents of the facility in Mexia, TX! The Psychiatrist will conduct evaluations, diagnose, and create care plans for psychiatric conditions. Additional information and key job details pertaining to this assignment are listed below. Location: Mexia, TX (outpatient setting)
Locums Contract Duration: 3 - 6 months initial contract/to perm
Start Date: May 2022
Schedule: Full-time, flexibility in work hours will be considered
Essential Job Functions:

Psychiatrist-JOB DESCRIPTION:
- The Psychiatrist will be responsible for diagnosing, treating psychiatric disorders, and performing psychiatric assessments, providing timely, and accurate charting of clinical encounters using our electronic medical records of the residents with intellectual disabilities.
- Must be able to work in a team environment.
- Must have good communication skills, organizing, and the ability to present information.
- Justification of medication use.
- Able to work with minimal supervision.
Licensure, Certification, or Registration Required:
- Texas Medical License – Unrestricted
- Board certification or board eligibility in psychiatry
- DEA Certificate – Unrestricted
