A large manufacturing company that supports the design and construction of submarines in Groton, CT is in need of a per diem physician for their occupational medicine clinic. This would be an ongoing need for them throughout the year. Details:

• Setting: on-site occupational medicine clinic in Groton, CT (about 1 hour from New Haven, CT and 1 hour from Providence, RI)
  • providing medical care for employees of the manufacturing plant (no general walk-ins)
  • cases: urgent care visits, light occupational health, return to work orders, setting work restrictions, musculoskeletal or eye injuries, laceration repair/suturing, review EKGs, audiometry, drug tests, interpret x-rays
  • industrial environment on shipyard
    • Should have knowledge of workplace health, safety, disability, and OSHA regulations
• Schedule: flexible working hours (8-40 hours each week)
• Low volume: 5-15 patients per day

• Board certification encouraged, but not required
• Must have an active Connecticut license (having an additional Rhode Island license is a big plus)
• Must have active and unrestricted DEA
• Current BLS
• Must have experience in either urgent care or occupational/environmental medicine
