Position Overview: Residency-Trained Podiatrist
Location: Ft. Lauderdale, Florida
A physician-led multispecialty group is seeking a Residency-Trained Podiatrist to join its dynamic Orthopedic practice in the Ft. Lauderdale area. This well-established and growing practice provides comprehensive orthopedic services and is home to a specialized Foot & Ankle team that includes two fellowship-trained Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Surgeons and a Residency-trained Surgical Podiatrist.
Key Responsibilities
- Support orthopedic surgeons by treating a wide range of foot and ankle pathologies such as:
- Tendonitis
- Arthritis
- Heel pain
- Deformities
- Fractures
- Perform wound care, nail care, injections, and in-office procedures.
- Maintain a clinic-based schedule with no Podiatry call requirements (MondayFriday, 36+ patient contact hours weekly).
- Build and proactively develop the practice to meet the needs of the Ft. Lauderdale population.
Requirements:
- Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) from an accredited institution.
- Completion of an accredited Podiatry Residency Program.
- Board Certification through the American Board of Podiatric Surgery (or eligibility to obtain certification within two years).
- 2+ years of experience preferred (new graduates considered).
- Active or eligible for Florida medical licensure and hospital privileges.
- Valid controlled substance registration with the Board of Pharmacy and DEA.
