As a Federal Tort Claims Act deemed organization, FHC is committed to improving community health. **Job Description:** The Podiatrist will provide direct patient care, which includes: - Conducting comprehensive medical and social histories. - Performing thorough physical examinations. - Ordering and interpreting laboratory and screening tests. - Evaluating lab reports, x-rays, and consultation records, and communicating treatment plans to patients. - Making independent decisions on patient management, prescribing medications, and performing therapeutic or corrective measures. - Providing health maintenance, promotion, illness prevention, and illness management counseling. - Making appropriate referrals to specialists and consulting with other healthcare team members as needed. - Complying with infection control and safety procedures. - Accurately documenting patient notes in the electronic medical records system. - Performing job activities respectfully and courteously while interacting with patients, visitors, and coworkers. - Performing other duties as delegated. **Position Requirements:** - **Qualifications:** - Medical degree appropriate to the specialty from an accredited medical college or university. - Successful completion of internship and residency programs. - State of South Carolina license to practice medicine. - Federal DEA license and South Carolina Controlled Substance license. - Must meet credentialing and privileging requirements of group **Benefits:** - Working with a dedicated and professional healthcare team. - Access to premier technology and state-of-the-art facilities. - A supportive work environment with a focus on patient care and community health
