This world-renowned program is currently seeking a physiatrist to run clinics for their Mild Brain Injury Programs. Their ideal candidate would have brain injury fellowship training, brain injury board certification or a Neuro specialty, with interest in TBI and concussion. This is a chance to make an impact at a facility that treats thousands of complex cases annually with unmatched expertise and compassion.
Primary responsibilities will be clinical, overseeing multiple clinics focusing on diverse patient populations being treated for acute, sub-acute and chronic symptoms from mild to moderate TBI:
- Outpatient Complex Concussion programs utilizing multi-disciplinary treatment for diverse range of ages, occupations, activity levels, and risk factors:
- Military personnel and 1st Responders with Physical and Psychological Health Concerns
- Veteran/military experience is not required but is an asset to the position.
- Athletes - anyone involved in sports and activities
- Motor vehicle accidents
- Older people at risk of falls
- Individuals who have experienced an earlier concussion

These neurorehabilitation patients are primarily diagnosed with brain injury, spinal cord injury, stroke, and other neurologic disorders. There is no overnight/ER or stroke call.
This position will require some teaching of residents and fellows. It will also have research opportunities if you wish. Academic interest is supported and welcomed, with appointment. There are ongoing opportunities to be involved with professional and university sports programs, federally funded research and depending on experience, candidate may be eligible for position of Medical Director.

Job Responsibilities
Multidisciplinary Complex Concussion Programs treating a diverse range of patient populations, including:
Military personnel & first responders with physical and psychological health concerns (veteran/military experience is a plus).
Athletes recovering from sports-related concussions.
Individuals affected by motor vehicle accidents, falls, and prior concussions.
No overnight, ER, or stroke call.
Teaching opportunities with residents and fellows.
Academic appointment available, with access to federally funded research, professional & university sports programs, and potential for Medical Director role (based on experience).
Qualifications
Board certification/eligibility in BIM or Neuro specialty with a strong interest in TBI & concussion.
