Responsibilities as the Physiatrist (PM&R Physician):
- Diagnosis and Treatment: Evaluate and diagnose complex pain and injury-related conditions, creating personalized rehabilitation plans to restore functionality and optimize health.
- Patient Care: Prescribe medications, administer pain-relief injections, and provide counseling on exercise techniques and nutritional habits to support recovery.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient evaluations, treatments, and transactions, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, specialists, and medical staff to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans.
- Education and Support: Communicate diagnoses and treatment plans effectively, ensuring patients understand their care and receive necessary support.
- Monitoring Progress: Track and evaluate patient progress during and after treatments, adjusting plans as needed to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Education: Medical Degree (MD or DO) with specialized training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
- Licensure: Active New York Medical License required.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years as a PM&R Physician is required, including experience treating work-related and motor vehicle injuries.
- Certifications: Workers' Compensation Authorization and Licensed Acupuncturist.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with No-Fault and Workers' Compensation laws and regulations required.
