We are seeking a Medical Director with Interventional Pain Fellowship to join a top nationally ranked rehab provider in the southeast. This client provides patient-centric clinical care for their patients and remains focused on providing an excellent quality of work/life balance for their clinicians, too.
You’ll lead our innovative, multidisciplinary pain management team. This position focuses on the clinical management of complex spine and chronic pain patients, many of whom have brain injuries and spinal cord injuries. The practice setting is primarily outpatient (95%), based in a new, state-of-the-art pain clinic with an established team and multiple procedure suites. The position also includes inpatient pain consults (5%).
The facility employees a a comprehensive continuum of clinical care with a holistic, interdisciplinary approach; you will lead a team of physiatrists, PTs, APPs and psychologists. You will contribute to in the field while teaching PM&R residents, participating in research, and engaging in academic and administrative duties.
Job Responsibilities
Perform inpatient consults on pain management for patients.
Lead and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals in the pain clinic.
Actively engage in teaching and mentorship activities with PM&R residents.
Contribute to ongoing research, academic projects, and advocacy efforts aimed at advancing the field of pain management and rehabilitation.
Qualifications
Fellowship training and board certification in Pain Medicine.
Experience in managing chronic pain and complex spine cases, especially those involving neurological comorbidities.
