Position Overview:
Medical Center is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible General Physiatrist to join their established team of physiatrists, nurse practitioners, psychologists, RNs, and medical assistants. The role focuses on providing patient-centered care with a special interest in rehabilitation for poly trauma, TBI, amputation, post-stroke, spinal cord injury, and optimizing function for autoimmune diseases.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Procedures: Perform ultrasound-guided injections, trigger point injections, migraine management injections, and spasticity management.
Patient Care: Advocate strongly for patients, with a focus on team collaboration.
Additional Interests: An interest in complementary or functional medicine and acupuncture is preferred.
EMG/NCS: Experience is preferred but not required.
Schedule & Call:
Work Week: Monday-Friday with an average of 15 patients per day.
Weekend Call: Rotational, 1:4 home call with occasional weekend admissions.
Practice Environment:
Technology: State-of-the-art facilities with access to EMG, X-ray, MRI, fluoroscopy suites, and musculoskeletal ultrasound for interventional procedures.
Referrals & Collaboration: Supported by a high volume of referrals with close collaboration with a built-in referral network including primary care, spine team, and inpatient rehabilitation team.
Teaching: Potential opportunity to teach medical students.
