A specialty healthcare organization that operates 20+ medical practices throughout the Manhattan, Queens, Brooklyn, Long Island, Upstate NY, NJ and CT. All practices specialize in the area of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation. They are currently seeking a licensed Physiatrist for an outpatient practice.

About the Opportunity:

  • Specialty: Physiatrist
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday
  • Hours: Flexible Schedule Options Available
  • Patient Population: Personal Injury, Workers' Comp, No Fault, Commercial, etc.
  • On-Call- None!

Responsibilities:

The Physiatrist will be responsible for

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of patients to understand their medical history, current condition, and functional limitations
  • Developing individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs and goals
  • Prescribing and overseeing various forms of rehabilitation therapy, including physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy
  • Recommending and performing various medical procedures, such as trigger point injections, soft tissue, and joint injections to treat pain and improve physical functioning
  • Engage in research to advance the field's understanding of rehabilitation techniques, interventional procedures, and outcomes for patients with disabilities or chronic conditions
  • Perform other duties, as needed

Qualifications:

  • Licensed to practice Medicine in New York
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree
  • 3+ years internship/residency training
  • Board Eligible / Certified in Physical medicine and Rehabilitation or Neurology
