DirectShifts is seeking a skilled and compassionate Physiatrist to join our team in helping patients recover from injuries and disabilities and improve their quality of life in the vibrant city of Chicago, IL.

Job Description:

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with a wide range of physical impairments and disabilities, including those resulting from stroke, spinal cord injury, brain injury, amputation, and musculoskeletal disorders.
  • Develop and implement individualized rehabilitation plans, incorporating physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and other modalities.
  • Manage pain associated with injuries and chronic conditions, utilizing a multidisciplinary approach.
  • Prescribe and manage assistive devices and adaptive equipment.
  • Educate patients and their families on rehabilitation techniques and self-care strategies.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in physical medicine and rehabilitation through ongoing professional development.

Qualifications:

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation
  • Valid medical license in Illinois State
  • Extensive experience in diagnosing and treating physical impairments and disabilities
  • Proficiency in rehabilitation techniques and pain management
  • Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment
