We are looking for a Physical Medicine and Rehab Physician to help care for our fast growing roster of patients. We are looking for someone who specializes in evaluating, diagnosing, and treating patients with traumatic injuries and pain management relating to injuries. While working alongside many other physicians, surgeons, specialists, PA’s and talented staff, the ideal candidate will hold a vital role in providing the necessary medical services to our community. Our new Physician would be responsible for providing care to existing patients as well as new patients. We are looking for someone who has a sincere passion for providing the appropriate health services and giving the best care possible

Job Responsibilities

• Diagnose, manage and treat pain from injury, illness, or medical conditions.
• Conduct extensive examination routine to help pinpoint difficult diagnoses.
• Create rehabilitation and/or treatment plans specifically to patients need with a goal to restore functionality and the healthiest wellbeing of patients.
• Document all patient evaluations, treatments, medications and transactions according to company policies and procedures.
• Ensure patients understand their diagnosis and receive relevant information.
• Prescribing relevant medications to help with patient’s pain, injury and regaining functionality.
• Instructing patients on proper exercise techniques, healthy nutritional behaviors and give adequate advice and support to patient as needed.
• Administer injections to a patient’s pain areas to help relieve pain and restore function.
• Must be open-minded when discussing various treatment option for patient, ensuring all options are taken into consideration.
• Must be able to consultant and communicate with other physicians, specialist, and other medical professionals to optimize a patient’s treatment.
• Monitor patients progress during and after treatments.
• Perform other related duties.

Qualifications

• Medical Degree from an Accredited University
• New York Medical License
• Must have 5+ Years’ experience
• Previous clinical experience as a PM&R (Preferred)
• Previous work experience in work and motor vehicle related injuries (Preferred)
• Workers Compensation Authorized
• Licensed Acupuncturist
• Knowledge of No Fault and Worker Compensation Laws and Regulations

Working Hours

Mon- Fri 9am- 5pm

Comprehensive Diagnostic Ability: Expertise in conducting thorough examinations to diagnose complex conditions related to pain and traumatic injuries.

Pain Management: Proficiency in managing and treating pain through various methods, including medication, injections, and rehabilitation plans.

Treatment Plan Development: Ability to create and implement individualized rehabilitation and treatment plans aimed at restoring functionality and promoting overall well-being.

Collaboration and Communication: Strong skills in consulting and coordinating with other physicians, specialists, and healthcare professionals to provide holistic patient care.

Patient Education and Support: Capability to educate patients on their diagnoses, treatment options, and health maintenance strategies while offering continuous support and guidance.
