Providence St. Luke’s Rehabilitation Medical Center invites a BC/BE Physiatrist with interest in neurorehabilitation to join a well-established physiatry group affiliated with a state-of-the-art, CARF-accredited IRF and PM&R residency training program. We are a collegial interdisciplinary group of physiatrists, including 9 faculty physiatrists and 24 physiatry residents, along with on-site outpatient speech, occupational, and physical therapy services. We are part of the MDA Care Center Network and an ALS Center of Excellence. The ideal candidate will have a broad skillset for neurorehabilitative care; EMG technical and clinical interpretation skills and/or ultrasound a plus. They will serve an essential role in inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation and will educate future leaders in physiatry.

  • Blended inpatient/outpatient clinical practice focused on general neurorehabilitation
  • Board-certification/Board eligibility in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation is required.
  • SCI, TBI, or neuromuscular subspecialty training or ABEM certification preferred but not required.
  • Ultrasound (MSK/neuromuscular) and/or spasticity management experience preferred but not required.
  • Opportunities are available to develop other sub-specialized areas of clinical practice, in alignment with applicant interests and community needs. Our outpatient clinic serves patients with a broad range of diagnoses including stroke, TBI, SCI, complex medical and orthopedic rehabilitation, and neuromuscular conditions.
  • Opportunities for roles in inpatient consults are available
  • Weekend inpatient call coverage is shared among members of the group (6-8 weekends per year). Residents provide on-site 24/7 call coverage with attending available by phone.
  • Interest in teaching physiatry residents and medical students is required.
  • Research opportunities with Washington State University (WSU), University of Washington, Eastern Washington University, University of Idaho, University of Montana, and Gonzaga University are available.
  • Eligibility for clinical faculty appointment at WSU Elson S Floyd College of Medicine and University of Washington Department of Rehabilitation Medicine.
  • Compensation is between $259,987 and $362,315 per year
  • The compensation amounts listed may include productivity or quality/service incentives, call pay, or extra shift incentives, as applicable to the position. In addition, providers may have CME benefits available to them.
