Job Responsibilities

Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Physiatrist PM&R to join our team. As a Physiatrist, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive medical care and rehabilitation services to patients with physical disabilities or injuries. Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough patient evaluations to assess physical impairments, functional limitations, and disability
- Develop personalized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals
- Provide medical management and prescribe appropriate medications
- Perform procedures such as joint injections, trigger point injections, and nerve blocks
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech-language pathologists to optimize patient outcomes
- Educate patients and their families about their condition, treatment options, and self-care techniques
- Participate in discharge planning and coordinate post-acute care services
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records using electronic health record systems
- Stay current with advancements in the field through continuing education and participation in clinical research

Requirements:
- Medical degree from an accredited school of medicine
- Board certification or eligibility in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R)
- Valid NJ state medical license
- Strong knowledge of Durable Medical Equipment (DME) utilization
- Proficiency in medical terminology and documentation
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with healthcare professionals and patients
