Position Overview

The Division of Pediatric Outreach Medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) and Vanderbilt Integrated Providers (VIP) invite applications for Board Certified and Board Eligible Pediatricians to join our team in the Nashville metropolitan area. We seek highly skilled clinicians committed to providing excellent patient-centered care and contributing to our vision of delivering top-notch pediatric healthcare services. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, integrity, and a commitment to patient care, teaching, and mentorship.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide outpatient pediatric care in VUMC’s primary care and after-hours clinics located in the Nashville metro area.
  • Engage in educational activities, including training and mentoring residents, fellows, and medical students in clinical settings.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and clinic operations.

Qualifications

  • Board-eligible or board-certified in Pediatrics.
  • Experience or interest in outpatient pediatric care.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  1. Vanderbilt Children's Primary Care: Located in Smyrna and Lebanon, these outpatient-only pediatric clinics are just 30 minutes from downtown Nashville. We are seeking pediatricians due to increased demand and new patient visits.
  2. Vanderbilt Children's After-Hours Clinics: Opportunities are available in five different clinics throughout the Nashville metro area, including Mt. Juliet, Hendersonville, Smyrna, Spring Hill, and Murfreesboro. Typical clinic hours are weekday evenings from 6 PM to 9:30 PM and afternoons to evenings on weekends. Flexible shift schedules are available to meet monthly shift requirements.
