Schedule

  • 20 shifts per month
  • Call Only

Clinical Details

  • Inpatient
  • Average 2 patients per shift
  • 330 deliveries in 2024
  • Only pediatrics provider on call
  • Responsible for nursery coverage, ER call coverage and very low peds volume on the Med/Surg unit coverage

Requirements

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible
  • Active VA License
  • Must be able to do circumcisions
  • PALS and NRP

Call

  • Beeper
  • 30 Min response time
  • Call Ratio: 24/7
  • 90% Call Back rate
    • 95% of call back will be for nursery coverage
  • Average call numbers per 24 hour:
    • 2-3 phone consults
    • 2-3 patients seen
    • 1-2 admissions

Support Staff

  • 2 RNs
  • 1 Office Staff

  • MediTech
