Seeking an experienced Board Certified pediatric surgeon to support a community health system in providing surgical care to pediatric patients ranging from newborns through teenage years.

Duties include collaborating with other pediatric providers to diagnosis and determine if surgery is necessary. As well as, managing and performing preoperative, operative, and postoperative care.

24/7 surgeons will have office support staff during the day to triage incoming calls including RX refills. Majority of after-hours calls are from Pediatric Emergency Department.

Job Details:
  • Full time coverage for clinic M-F(8a-5p), night call coverage M-F (8p-8a), and weekend call coverage Sat-Sun(24 hr)
  • Rounding for patient the locum provider has admitted and weekend surgical consults as needed
  • Primarily consults from the ED approx. 0-2 calls per day
  • Hospital sees approx 8-10 per year emergent surgeries per year – not a trauma hospital
  • 15min max call back time for emergency consult.
  • 30min max response time
  • 0-4 patients per day per provider
