Facility in Pendleton, OR seeking Pediatric Hospitalist locums Coverage
Rates:$1800/24h with 4 hour gratis included. $225/hr call-back after 4 hours.
Position Details

Dates of Coverage:
-
March 13, 7:00 AM – March 17, 7:00 AM
-
April 10, 7:00 AM – April 14, 7:00 AM
-
Potential Need: 1–2 weeks per month.

Schedule:
-
24-hour call coverage.
-
Daily rounding: 1–4 hours on-site (varies).
-
On-call for newborn care from OB, admission consults from ED, or med-surge for neonates and pediatric patients.

Provider must be comfortable as a solo provider with no backup coverage.

Duties:
-
Neonatal resuscitation, intubation, lines, emergency medications, and stabilization for transfer if needed.
-
Primary care for newborn/pediatric patients.
-
Expected to handle 0–6 patients per day and approximately 1 admission per month through ED.
-
No NICU; stabilize sick babies for transfer.
-
Core privileges for pediatrics (ages 0–18) and newborn care, including major or complicated illnesses.

Requirements

Board Certification:
-
Pediatrics preferred; IM/FM with significant pediatric and neonatal experience accepted.

Experience:
-
Must demonstrate care for at least 24 inpatient pediatric patients as the attending physician within the last 24 months.

Licensure: Oregon license required.
-
Certifications:
-
BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required.

Residency: Completed a 3-year Pediatric Residency program.

Additional Requirements:
-
Provider MUST be comfortable with neonatal resuscitation, intubation, lines, and emergency meds.

Clean malpractice and background required for quick credentialing (all malpractice/criminal history must be disclosed).

Quick credentialing available for March coverage (approximately 2 weeks).

Full credentialing expected to take 60 days.
