**Pediatric Ophthalmologist Opportunity** We are recruiting a fellowship-trained BC/BE pediatric ophthalmologist with excellent clinical and surgical skills dedicated to exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate should have experience in all aspects of pediatric ophthalmology and adult strabismus care, working collaboratively with our experienced team of ophthalmologists, optometrists, orthoptists, ophthalmic technicians, and opticians. Our diverse patient population and broad referral base provide a rich environment for a fulfilling practice. **Responsibilities** - Provide outpatient medical and surgical care to pediatric and adult strabismus patients. - Offer pediatric inpatient ophthalmic consultation and services for retinopathy of prematurity, rotating with colleagues. - Collaborate with healthcare professionals for multidisciplinary patient care. - Engage with rotating ophthalmology residents, pediatric residents, and medical students. - Opportunity for an academic appointment through Michigan State University, with research prospects. **Essential Functions** - Assess and monitor the medical needs of patients and significant others. - Maintain accurate records and documentation. - Deliver quality medical services in a cost-effective and appropriate manner, ensuring continuous patient coverage. - Provide input into policy and procedural development for quality patient care. - Communicate effectively with other healthcare team members to ensure continuity and coordination of care, acting as an advocate for patients and families. - Participate in ongoing process improvement activities, clinical paths, and other related initiatives. **Qualifications** - Licensed in the State of Michigan (MD/DO). - DEA Registration - State of Michigan. - Board Eligible/Board Certified in Ophthalmology. - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. - Fellowship training in Pediatric Ophthalmology. **Visa Status** - J1 waiver accepted - H1 visa accepted
