**Pediatric Pulmonology Faculty Position in San Antonio** **Position Summary:** The Division of Pulmonology in the Department of Pediatrics is seeking a full-time Pediatric Pulmonologist to join the faculty in San Antonio. This position includes a faculty appointment within the Department of Pediatrics, a competitive salary, and a comprehensive benefits package. Academic rank will be determined based on the candidate's credentials and experience. **Job Duties:** - **Clinical Care:** Admit, evaluate, diagnose, consult, and treat neonates, infants, children, adolescents, and young adults with congenital or acquired lung diseases. Manage a wide range of respiratory system conditions using both invasive and noninvasive diagnostic and therapeutic techniques. - **Intensive Care:** Provide care to patients in the intensive care setting in compliance with unit policies, including assessing and stabilizing patients with emergent respiratory conditions. - **Academic Responsibilities:** This faculty position includes the opportunity to engage in teaching and mentoring within the Department of Pediatrics. **Minimum Qualifications:** - **Education:** M.D. or D.O. degree, or equivalent; completion of an accredited fellowship in Pediatric Pulmonology. - **Certification/Licensure:** Board certification or eligibility in Pediatric Pulmonology by the American Board of Pediatrics; licensed or eligible for licensure by the Texas Medical Board.
