**Pediatric Gastroenterology Faculty Opportunities in San Antonio** **Position Summary:** The Department of Pediatrics, Section of Gastroenterology is seeking three full-time faculty members to join the team in San Antonio. We are looking for a General Pediatric Gastroenterologist, an Advanced Endoscopy Gastroenterologist, and a Gastroenterologist specializing in Motility Disorders. Each role includes a faculty appointment within the Department of Pediatrics, with rank determined by the candidates qualifications and accomplishments. The position offers a competitive salary and a full benefits package. **Job Duties:** - **Clinical Responsibilities:** - Provide outpatient and inpatient care for children with intestinal, hepatic, pancreatic, and nutritional disorders. - Offer consultative services and emergency room consultations. - Perform general pediatric gastrointestinal procedures, including upper endoscopy, colonoscopy, and related therapeutic procedures. - **Teaching Responsibilities:** - Supervise and educate medical students, residents, and fellows specializing in Gastroenterology. - Participate in the Advanced Endoscopy fellowship program, which has successfully trained multiple fellows. - **Research Support:** - Access to the Clinical Research Center for faculty interested in pursuing clinical research. **Minimum Qualifications:** - **Education:** M.D., Ph.D. / M.D., or D.O. degree, or equivalent - **Training:** Completion of an ACGME-approved fellowship in Pediatric Gastroenterology (or equivalent) - **Licensure:** Licensed by the Texas Medical Board or eligible for Texas licensure - **Certification:** Board-certified or board-eligible in Pediatric Gastroenterology by the American Board of Pediatrics **About San Antonio:** San Antonio, also known as "The Alamo City," blends Old West history and Spanish heritage with the vibrancy of a large metropolitan area.
