Medcare Staffing is seeking a pediatrician for locum tenens coverage.

  • Start May 2025 – August 2025
  • Monday-Friday
  • 100 % Outpatient

Estimated 22 patients per day

  • Comprehensive patient assessments including history and physical examinations
  • Formulating assessment and treatment plans of pediatric patients
  • Communicating with providers about changes in patient's clinical condition
  • Educating parents/caregivers on patient condition and plan of care
  • Triaging and responding to phone calls from patient families
  • Accurately recording patient information in the electronic medical record (eClinicalWorks)
  • Must be able to work independently as well as part of multidisciplinary team.

Requirements:

  • Three years of related clinical experience
  • Active Maryland (or compact state) Licensure required
  • Active Maryland CDS and DEA licensure
  • Credentialed with Maryland Medicaid and Carefirst BCBS

We are located 30 miles from the Atlantic Ocean and within an hour drive of resort areas such as Ocean City, MD, Assateague National Seashore, St. Michaels, Rehoboth, DE, and Chincoteague, VA. Centrally located within 3 hours of Washington DC, Philadelphia, Baltimore, and Norfolk.

We close the office between 12pm-1pm. No weekends and No call.
