Position Overview:
Facility is a Federally Qualified Health Care Center with sites operating in Bridgeport, Stamford and Stratford, CT. We are the largest provider of primary health care services in Fairfield County, proudly serving all patients regardless of their ability to pay. Join our team-based model of care delivered in a kind and compassionate manner. We are currently recruiting to add a full- or part-time Psychiatrist to work within a multidisciplinary team to provide Psychiatric Care including evaluations and medication management for a diverse adult population. The Psychiatrist should be comfortable working in a community health center with a multicultural, multilingual patient population. The administrative component includes supervision of other psychiatric prescribers, mentoring of students and/or APRNS, and signing treatment plans.
About this position:
- Interview, assess, diagnose, and treat patients appropriately within the standard of care
- Prescribe psycho-therapeutic treatments or medications to treat mental, emotional or behavioral disorders
- Collaborate with other Behavioral Health Professionals to discuss treatment plans & patient progress
- Provide individual professional consultation among Professional Staff for the purposes of inservice/education as necessary to provide increased level of service to patients
- No On Call Responsibilities

Qualifications:
- MD/DO from an accredited Medical School and Completion of Residency Program specializing in Psychiatry
- Board Certified or Board Eligible
- CT Licensure
- Working knowledge of Spanish helpful
