Responsibilities

Job Summary:

Provide medical services and contribute to the design and delivery of high quality, cost effective, values- based patient care for our patients

Essential Functions:

ASSESSMENT

  • Obtain a comprehensive general health history.
  • Provides OB/GYN medical services within the scope of licensure, credentialing and current standard of care that may impact health care and health outcomes.
  • Screen for health risks and health promotion needs.
  • Perform a comprehensive physical examination.
  • Obtain a problem-focused health history.
  • Perform a problem-focused physical examination.
  • Identify deviations from normal findings in history and physical examination.
  • Order or perform screening and diagnostic tests based on findings from history and physical examination.

DIAGNOSIS

  • Interpret screening and diagnostic tests.
  • Develop and analyze differential diagnoses on the basis of clinical and laboratory data.
  • Diagnose gynecologic, obstetric, female/male reproductive and sexual health, and common non-gynecologic primary care health conditions.

MANAGEMENT

  • Develop plan of care based on assessment findings and diagnoses.
  • Provide health promotion/ disease prevention education/counseling, and anticipatory guidance.
  • Prescribe pharmacologic therapies.
  • Initiate non-pharmacologic therapies.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals in meeting identified health needs.
  • Participate in care coordination for women with complex healthcare needs.

GENERAL

  • Actively participate in the development, execution and periodic review of the written policies governing the services the clinic furnishes
  • Actively participates committees
  • Participates in performance improvement initiatives.
  • Complies with Hospital policies & procedures, as applicable.
  • Complies with regulatory agency standards.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

  • Graduate from an accredited medical program recognized as license eligible for the Oregon State Medical Board

Required Licensure and Certifications:

  • Current Oregon State Licensure
  • Current AHA BLS Certification
  • Certifications as required by Medical Staff Credentialing/Bylaws

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of Clinic/Hospital practices, use of equipment, and diagnosing
  • Skill in communicating to patients and the families or caregivers
  • Ability to write and/or dictate reports and correspondences

Pay Range
$111.00 - $132.18/hour
