Details: I am looking for weekend call coverage from Friday (7a) to Monday (7a). The position is in a pediatric surgery unit, which includes neonatal surgery and ECMO cannulation. The locum will need to be comfortable supervising other healthcare providers and handling pediatric trauma for patients 14 years and under.

Requirements:

License (Prefer SC LICENSE)

DEA

Lifesaving Certifications (BLS, PALS - American Heart Association)

MUST be board certified

Support Staff:

1 RN

2 CMA

2 front desk staff

Pediatric specialties available for backup:

NICU

Gastro

Critical Care

Hospitalists

Neurosurgery

Urology

Adult Surgery

Other backup specialties:

Cardio

Endo

Neuro

Nephrology

Infectious Disease

Hem/Onc

Ortho

Rheumatology

Pulmo

Caseload:

15% Adolescents

70% Pediatrics

15% Neonates

Beds:

16 PICU beds

65 NICU beds

Special Procedures Required:

Central & Arterial lines

Thoracentesis

Chest tube insertions

Needle pneumothorax decompression

X-ray interpretation

Suturing

Special Procedures Preferred:

Paracentesis

DATES NEEDED: December 31st at 7am – January 6th at 7am.

They primarily want 21 weekends of WEEKEND coverage, dates TBD for all of 2025.

RATE: Flat rate covering all shifts and taking call from the hotel. Callback only applies if they physically go back onsite.

Coverage: Scheduled + On Call required

Shift Description: Weekend

Shift: Standard, 3 Day (24 Hours) 7:00 - 7:00
