Location: A city in Oregon known for its rich history, cultural heritage, and beautiful landscapes. Surrounding the city are scenic areas ideal for outdoor activities like hiking, fishing, and exploring the nearby Blue Mountains.

Facility: A critical access hospital that offers a variety of medical services to the community. It provides emergency care, surgical services, outpatient treatments, and rehabilitation services, among others. The hospital is known for its commitment to patient-centered care and community health initiatives.

Opportunity:
  • Looking for Pediatric Locum coverage March 13th 7:00am to March 17th 7:00am and April 10th at 7:00am through April 14th 7:00am. Potential need for 1-2 weeks/month
  • Bid Due Date: 1/30/2025 at 4:00 PM CST
  • 24/7 on call covers for any newborn care from OB, admission consult from ED or called for med surge for neonate and peds patients.
  • Expected to round daily 1-4 hours (varies), and provider is the primary care for the newborn/peds patient.
  • Provider MUST be comfortable with Neonatal resuscitation, intubation, lines, emergency meds to be able to stabilize and transfer if needed.
  • Admissions per day: Roughly 1 per month through ED
  • Patients per day: Varies depending on the day 0-6
  • 1 local provider gets first pick of week then 3 weeks to fill remaining. No office call.
  • No Nicu, if sick baby stabilizes and transfer
  • Important to know there is no back up coverage. Must be comfortable being solo provider
  • Successful applicant must be able to demonstrate that they have provided inpatient care to at least 24 patients as the attending physician during last 24 months
  • Core privileges for Peds: Include the ability to treat patients between 0 – 18 years, the performance including related admissions, consultation and work-up, venipuncture, laceration repair, incision and drainage of superficial abscesses and the treatment of major or complicated illnesses.
  • Care privileges for Newborn: Include the ability to provide care to all newborns including those with potentially life-threatening illnesses. Consultation suggested in extremely complex, life-threatening situations.
Compensation: Competitive weekly pay and malpractice included.
