Locum Tenens - Pediatric Emergency Medicine Physician - St. Louis, MO Assignment Details: Coverage Dates: October 24, 2024 - Ongoing Priority Dates: Oct 10-14 Oct 24-28 Nov 7-11 Nov 21-28 Dec 5-9 Shift time 4p-1a Rate: Negotiable (tell us your rate) Holidays Included: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Christmas Day, Thanksgiving Day, 4th of July Practice Setting: Outpatient and Inpatient Scheduled Clinical Hours Only Requirements: Board Certification: Minimum board certification eligible Fellowship: PEM fellowship preferred Licensure: Licensed in MO only Certifications: ABLS, ACLS, ATLS, BLS, PALS Clean History Required Additional Information: Privileges Required: Yes Admissions Required: No Temporary Privileges Available: No Facility is Stroke Certified: Yes Estimated Credentialing Timeframe: 60-90 days EMR System: Epic Facility Accepts Multiple Providers: Yes Work Schedule: 9-hour shifts, primarily evening/nights Coverage for 15 shifts a month Patients Per Shift: 14-18 Bed In Department: 13 rooms, plus 3 hall beds Support Staff: RN: 2-4 MA: 1 PA/NPs: 1 Call Details: Call Type: N/A Call Response Time Required: N/A Phone Consults: N/A Patients Seen: N/A Call Back %: N/A Admissions: N/A Specialty Skills Required: Trauma Procedural sedation Airway management Pediatric emergency procedures Description/Other Details: PEM fellowship trained locum preferred, would consider board-certified pediatrician with ED experience (needs to have experience with trauma, procedural sedation, airway management, procedures, etc.). If PEM, only PALS certification required. If not PEM, PALS and ATLS required. Level 1 trauma center with robust support services available 24/7, including anesthesia, cardio-thoracic surgery, catheterization lab, general surgery, laboratory, neuro-surgery, orthopedic surgery, radiology, and vascular surgery.
