seeking a faculty member to fill a Full-time position in the Department of Pediatrics, Division of Cardiology. This position comes with a faculty appointment within the Department of Pediatrics, a competitive salary, and full benefits package.

Job/Practice Description: Pediatric Cardiologist

  • Clinical duties include patient care responsibilities and outpatient clinic. Faculty teaching responsibilities include direct clinical supervision of medical students, residents, fellows, and other students in related fields (e.g., nursing students, dietary students, pharmacy students), who observe the physician directly in both the inpatient and outpatient settings.
  • Outpatient clinical care for children with all types of heart and vascular disorders.
  • Inpatient care, consultation, and emergency room consultation for children with all types of heart and vascular disorders.
  • General pediatric cardiovascular procedures (e.g., echocardiography and cardiac catheterization with related therapeutic procedures)


Professional Background:


  • BC/BE
  • Must be licensed in the state of Texas or be eligible to be licensed
  • Board certification in General Pediatrics with subspecialty certification in Pediatric Cardiology by the American Board of Pediatrics (or eligible for same).
