We are a group of 5 physicians looking for a pediatrician seeking their forever job to join our active practice, Bloomington Pediatrics, in Bloomington IL. Our private practice, Bloomington Pediatrics, has a current opening for a full time BC/BE pediatrician to join our group of 5 physicians and FNP. Job Responsibilities

•Demonstrates excellent communication and coordination with the Care Team, families and other agencies regarding health status and needs of each patient.
• Provides health assessment for patients directed toward continuing a state of wellness, establishing the need for intervention, evaluating responses to and outcomes of therapy, and creation of treatment plan.
• Utilizes standing orders established by the practice and Evidence Based Guidelines for effective and efficient patient care.
• Utilizes motivational interviewing techniques and patient coaching for patient self-management support.
• Performs patient education activities and distributes appropriate materials or resources.
• Performs various tests/procedures and medication administration independently in accordance with the licensed scope of care
• Interprets and evaluates findings of studies and tests
• Recognizes deviations from normal in the physical assessment and formulates treatment plans for health problems and follow up.
• Communicates with staff to ensure continuity of care.
• Writes prescriptions for medication and communicates with pharmacies in accordance with practice protocol.
• Documents all patient communications in medical record according to policies and procedures.
• Provides efficient, high-quality service to patients who arrive for appointments and those who call on the telephone or visit in person to request appointments, advice, information, referrals, and other assistance.
• Consistently demonstrates sincere understanding and empathy in interactions with patients.
• Treats patients, families and associates with respect and incorporates understanding of cultural differences into interactions and care.
• Conveys a professional image.
• Is attentive and responsive to the needs and concerns of patients, staff, and other providers.

Qualifications

• Board certified or board eligible in pediatrics.
• Licensed to practice medicine in the State of Illinois, or obtain if not currently licensed.
• Hold both DEA and State of Illinois Controlled Substance licenses, or obtain if not currently licensed.
• Obtain and maintain medical staff membership and necessary privileges at Carle BroMenn Medical Center.
• Must be eligible as a provider for Medicaid.
• Clean malpractice history.

Working Hours

Office Hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm and rotating Saturdays from 8:00am to 12:00pm. Weekend Call is 1:6
