Legacy Community Health is a premium, Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) that provides comprehensive community care by treating the entire patient while improving their overall wellness and quality of life. As the largest FQHC in the state of Texas, with locations in the Greater Houston and surrounding areas including Beaumont and Baytown, we empower patients to lead better lives by promoting healthy behaviors and offering resources such as literacy classes, family planning services, and nutrition/weight management education.
Responsibilities:
- Perform assessments and provide treatment to clients of the clinic.
- Keep scheduled hours for, work hours to remain flexible according to the needs of clinic expansion.
- Meet or exceed productivity requirements as set forth by the Medical Director of Pediatrics.
- Follow clinical diagnostic and evidence based treatment protocols for pediatric treatment.
- Remain available by phone during regularly schedule hours should assistance be required.
- Assist in the review and development of patient education material and practice guidelines
- Provide supervision of health care students assigned to the clinic for educational purposes.
- Develop and maintain a program for clinical quality assurance.
- Supervision of non-physician providers, including Licensed Therapists, Certified Nurse Practitioners, and Certified Physicians Assistants with respect to pediatric treatment.
- Attend staff meetings and committees as directed and punctually.
- Participates in the Performance Improvement Program
- Participate in on call rotation for afterhours and weekend coverage for department
- Other Duties as assigned
WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Possess an interest in working with newborn to adolescents.- Bilingual English/Spanish speaking preferred
- Uphold the Code of Ethics of their professional licensing entity.
- Must complete the minimum hours of continuing education to maintain professional license.
- Must maintain good standing with professional licensing board.
- Must demonstrate cultural competency and sensitivity to all populations served.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with staff, community, and the general public.
- Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation,
- Ability to remain calm under stressful conditions.
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check
- Must be proficient with all aspects of EMR.
