Position: Pediatrician

Provider Requirements:

  • Board Status: Board Certified/Board Eligible
  • Licensure: Pennsylvania State License Required to Apply
  • Experience: Minimum 1 Year
  • Certifications: PALS, ACLS, BLS, NRP
  • DEA: Required

Coverage Details:

  • Clinic Coverage: Needed for 1-2 weeks per month, including clinic and call.
  • Duration: Long term, ongoing.
  • Estimated Shifts per Month: 14
  • Privileges: Full Privileges Available
  • EMR / Charting: EPIC
  • Call Response: 30 minutes
  • Call Notes: Typically 0 admissions while on call. Pediatric admissions are very rare.
  • Weeknight Call: Monday to Friday, 4:30 PM - 8:30 AM, 1:2 Rotation
  • Weekend Call: 24-hour coverage, 1:3 Rotation

Typical Day:

  • Office Hours: 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM
  • Patient Care: General expectation is to see patients during office hours; downtime can be used for clerical work.

Credentialing:

  • Days to Credential: 60

Additional Job Notes:

  • Outpatient with Limited Inpatient: Daily rounding for the nursery when on call. Typically 1-2 babies in the nursery. Inpatient rounding on sick children is rare.
  • Site Splitting: Can split time between two sites.
  • Daily Routine: Generally, round in hospital in the morning, then go to the clinic.
  • Nursery Level: Level I Nursery
