The Department of Pediatric & Adolescent Medicine in Mankato, MN, is seeking a board certified/board eligible Pediatric Hospitalist to join our vibrant, growing pediatric practice in the Health Systems largest hub site in Minnesota. Clinic has over 1,500 deliveries per year. Inpatient Pediatric Care Team has an opening for a Supplemental Pediatric Hospitalist_x000D_

* Seeking a board certified/board eligible Pediatric Hospitalist _x000D_
* Physicians will work both independently and in collaboration with a multidisciplinary care team to assess, diagnose, manage, and evaluate the health care needs of neonates, infants and children_x000D_
* Care for patients affected by prematurity, respiratory distress, infectious diseases, congenital heart disease, and/or other anomalies_x000D_
* Responsibilities include attendance at deliveries (including high-risk), resuscitation of newborns, care of healthy newborns, day-to-day management of babies in the Level II Nursery, and care of hospitalized children_x000D_
* Procedures performed include circumcisions, umbilical central lines, lumbar punctures, frenulectomies, intubations, and emergent needle decompression of pneumothorax._x000D_

**Services Provided:**_x000D_

* The only Level II Nursery within 80 miles_x000D_
* Provides care to premature babies and other newborns requiring special care due to low birth weight, respiratory distress, or various other disorders_x000D_
* Babies requiring care in a NICU are transferred to Rochester or Minneapolis/St. Paul._x000D_
* This position is solely inpatient_x000D_
* Hospitalists stay in-house_x000D_
* Shifts are 24 hours in length_x000D_

**Qualifications:**_x000D_
_x000D_
* A current and unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Minnesota_x000D_
* DEA license_x000D_
* Board certified or board eligible in Pediatrics_x000D_
* Basic Life Support (BLS) certification_x000D_
* Need Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) upon hire_x000D_
* Neonatal Resuscitation Plan (NRP) certification_x000D_

The pediatric inpatient team is composed of pediatric hospitalists and advanced practice providers (APPs). The APPs assist with care of normal newborns. The Clinic pediatric subspecialists in Rochester provide a ready source of support and consultation. The Electronic Delivery Room platform (eDR) provides immediate electronic connectivity to Rochester neonatologists 24/7 via remote video guidance. _x000D_
