My client is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) dedicated to providing comprehensive primary care services to the community, with a special emphasis on serving underserved populations. Their mission is to offer high-quality, patient-centered healthcare to individuals and families regardless of their ability to pay.
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pediatrician to join our client’s dynamic team. This MD will provide primary care services to pediatric patients, including infants, children, and adolescents, in a supportive and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive health assessments, including well-child exams, developmental screenings, and immunizations.
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses in pediatric patients.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs.
- Provide patient education and counseling on health maintenance, disease prevention, and proper nutrition.
- Manage and coordinate care for children with special health care needs.
- Collaborate with other healthcare providers, including nurse practitioners, nurses, and support staff, to ensure continuity of care.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care plans and progress.
- Coordinate referrals to specialists and other healthcare facilities as necessary.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and clinic operations.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records in compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in community outreach programs to promote pediatric health and wellness.
- Engage with patients' families to ensure comprehensive and family-centered care.
- Stay current with medical advancements, evidence-based practices, and FQHC guidelines through continuing education and professional development.
- Participate in training and mentoring of medical students, residents, and other healthcare professionals as needed.
Requirements:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.
- Board certification or board eligibility in Pediatrics.
- Valid state medical license to practice as a Pediatrician.
- Experience working in a primary care setting, preferably in an FQHC or similar environment.
- Strong clinical skills in pediatric care, including the ability to manage a broad range of pediatric conditions.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Commitment to serving diverse and underserved populations.
Please note- The annual base salary starts at $190k. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
