ECU Health Physicians and the Department of Pediatrics, East Carolina University Brody School of Medicine, seeks a full-time BE/BC Pediatrician to join the growing division of Academic General Pediatrics. The successful candidate will provide direct outpatient clinical care as well as exemplary medical education/training of physicians in pediatric medicine at the undergraduate and graduate levels. New graduates are encouraged to apply. The Division of Academic General Pediatrics is expanding and currently has fourteen faculty members involved in diverse clinical interests, academic pursuits and research hypothesis. Opportunities exist for physicians with special interests in joining established programs and/or creating new ventures in adolescent medicine, behavior and development, youth mental health, obesity care, sports medicine, acute care, care of children with complex conditions, child advocacy, child maltreatment and other areas of specialization.
The mission of the Department of Pediatrics is to provide comprehensive primary and consultative subspecialty care to children of eastern North Carolina, to advance scientific knowledge through basic and clinical research, and to provide continuing medical education opportunities for physicians in the region.
