The Position: Our client is looking for a Pediatrician in Leominster, Massachusetts. Under the direction of the Medical Director, the Pediatrician provides comprehensive and continuous primary care to a panel of patients. The client is offering a salary range up to $225,000 depending on experience and including the following benefits:

Requirements:

  • Medical Degree (MD or DO)
  • Board Certification/Eligibility in Pediatrics
  • Current licensure by the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Medicine
  • ACLS or CPR/AED certified.
  • Current DEA, DEA-X and Massachusetts Controlled Substance licensure for prescriptive authority

Responsibilities:

  • 100% Outpatient
  • Full-Time 40 hours/week (Monday – Friday 8am-5pm)
  • Participate in On Call Coverage.
  • Provides primary care services to infants, children and adolescents up to the age of 22.
  • Practices within the collaborative model with nurse practitioners and behavioral health providers.
  • Provides and manages direct patient care, including physical examinations, evaluations, assessments, diagnoses and treatment for a specified patient population.
  • Prescribes pharmaceuticals, other medications, and treatment regimens as appropriate to assessed medical conditions.
  • Refers patients to specialists and to relevant patient care components as appropriate.
  • Directs and coordinates the patient care activities of nursing and support staff as required.
  • Follows established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety, environmental, and/or infection control standards.
  • Participates in specified health promotion, education and/or prevention programs.
  • Observe, assess, and record symptoms, reactions, and progress.
  • Knowledge of legal and ethical standards for the delivery of medical care.
  • Knowledge of relevant drugs and non-pharmaceutical patient care aids and ability to prescribe dosages and instruct patients in correct usage.
