Job Description:

Pediatric Gastroenterologist (Pediatric Gastroenterology)

Are you ready to practice big-city medicine with a small-city feel? Are you ready to practice at the top of your game, to provide access to the best treatments to all your patients? If we have your attention, read on.

The Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition at the University of Utah School of Medicine is seeking a Pediatric Gastroenterologist to provide care in inpatient and outpatient settings, working primarily at St. Vincent in Billings, Montana.

You.

You bring your mind, body, heart, and spirit to your work as a Pediatric Gastroenterologist.

You put your patients first, and are generous with your thoughts and voice because you know your opinion matters.

You love what you do, and value having the support, resources, and advanced technology to practice at the top of your game.

You are energized by the feeling that you belong to something bigger, the people around you aren’t just colleagues, they feel like an extended family.

You’re great at what you do, but you want to be part of something even greater. Because you believe that while individuals can be strong, the right team is invincible.

Us.

St. Vincent Healthcare is part of SCL Health, a faith-based, nonprofit healthcare organization that focuses on person-centered care. Our 286-bed level II trauma center has provided care in Montana and the surrounding area since 1898, and our 30-clinic network ensures community needs are met. We offer comprehensive, specialty care, including a “hospital within a hospital” specifically for children, and are proud to extend SCL Health’s missions by treating the poor, the vulnerable, our community and each other.

The Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology at the University of Utah currently has 15 physicians, 4 advanced practice nurse clinicians, 6 registered nurses, and 3 pediatric GI fellows.

The Division has all pediatric gastroenterology, hepatology, and nutrition clinical services represented with the exception of small bowel transplantation. The liver transplant program has performed >300 liver transplants since its inception. The program is one of the only centers in the country with a pediatric ERCP/advanced endoscopy program. Additional programs include fully equipped and staffed endoscopy suites, a gastrointestinal Motility Disorders Center, a multidisciplinary IBD program with close collaboration with an IBD surgery program, close collaboration with the Cystic Fibrosis Center, Food Allergy and Eosinophilic Disorders Clinic, the Esophageal and Airway Treatment Center, a Feeding and Swallowing Center, a comprehensive nutrition center, an Aerodigestive Clinic, a Home Enteral Feeding Transitions program (post-NICU), and a multidisciplinary Colorectal Center.

The Department and University offers a competitive salary and unmatched benefits program including non-contributory retirement contributions of 20.2% of annual salary that vest immediately. The Department offers a faculty development and mentoring program designed to foster success in translational or basic research, quality improvement engagement, and excellence as educators.
