This position is a .6FTE clinical/.4FTE Medical Director position. The ideal candidate will have a strong record of leadership skills and education, which includes:

Medical Director Duties Include (but not limited to):

  • Attend monthly Medical Director and leadership meetings.
  • Regular rounding with Medical Directors
  • Quarterly President's Council Attendance, MOR as needed.
  • Holds Physician/APP's accountable to performance expectations.
  • Facilitates and supports interdepartmental communication and collaboration.
  • Works with operational leadership to provide direction for program departmental physicians.
  • Mentor new Medical Directors
  • Model and ensure professional behavior.
  • Review and recommend new medical developments, practices and techniques.
  • Collaborate with Medical Staff and attend MEC meetings as needed.
  • Support Medical Staff Recruitment
  • Advocate for resources, programs, and policies within Mary Bridge.
  • Work with Quality Medical Director to drive CPGs.
  • Work with Clinical Director to develop financial plans for clinical program development.
  • Be accountable and actively involved in system LEM goals yearly.

FTE: 0.4, Shift: day, Schedule: varies

Medical Director Compensation ranges from $224,017-$304,530 based on a 1.0FTE and specialty.

The Medical Director is responsible for oversight of the quality of care provided to patients receiving care across the care continuum as well as providing medical leadership for clinical and business planning, medical quality assessment/assurance and continuing medical education.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited medical school
  • Licensure to practice medicine in Washington State as a Physician
  • Board certification or similar accreditation
  • Credentialed to practice in MultiCare Health System facilities
  • Minimum of ten (10) years clinical experience, providing direct patient care preferred
  • Experience in a medical leadership role required
  • Additional education in healthcare administration preferred
