Job Description

A Yuma based client is seeking an experienced Pediatrician to provide excellent primary care services to patients from age 0 to 19 years old. An ideal candidate is a leader who works well collaboratively, values evidence-based practice, and values patient centered care. This candidate should be comfortable treating children and discussing outcomes with children and families.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduated from an accredited medical school with a MD or DO degree
  • Current Arizona medical license
  • Completed an accredited residency program
  • Current DEA certificate
  • Board certified or board eligible pediatrics
  • Current CPR certification

Responsibilities

  • Assess and diagnose a variety of diseases and injuries in children
  • Order diagnostic tests and laboratory studies, interpret results and create treatment plans based on results
  • Perform therapeutic procedures and educate patients and families on treatment plans
  • Arrange referrals, consultations, and therapeutic services for patients on caseload
  • Supervise NPs and PAs within Arizona regulations
  • Document all patient encounters efficiently and according to policy
