Qualifications
POSITION SUMMARY:
- The Children’s Hospital of Illinois is a Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center seeking a PRN Pediatric Surgeon to assist with call, clinic and surgical cases.
- High percentage of index cases; full complement of complex minimally invasive equipment including robotics capability.
- Large built-in referral base with growing pediatric physician program
- Block surgical time with supporting resources in place: operating room team.
- Latest daVinci Xi system for robotic cases.
- Comprehensive support services to optimize surgical care across the continuum. Services included but not limited to the following: fellowship trained pediatric anesthesiologists, fellowship-trained radiologist, child life services, neonatologists, pediatric intensivists/hospitalists and dedicated advance practice provider to support surgeon on the inpatient units.
- Must be board certified or eligible in Pediatric Surgery; be eligible for an Illinois license; have strong teaching abilities and interest in clinical research.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: Doctorate Licenses/Certifications: Physician Licensed to practice medicine in current state.
- Board certified or board eligible in the appropriate specialty (ies).
- Obtain and maintain medical staff membership and appropriate privileges.
- Must be eligible as a provider for Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal health programs.
- Physician shall meet all qualifications to participate in OSF's programs for professional malpractice and other liability coverage.
- Licensed by the Federal Drug Enforcement Administration and the State of Illinois to prescribe narcotics, if applicable.
